Printed on a dual-nozzle, heated-chamber Bambu Lab X2D, which opens up more than just basic PLA. Here's what each material's actually good for.
Easy to print in sharp detail and any colour. Great for figures, keyrings and decorative pieces - just keep it out of a hot car, as it softens in high heat.
More impact and heat resistant than PLA, with a bit of flex. A solid choice for everyday items that need to survive some knocks and drops.
Bends and stretches without snapping back to shape issues. Used for phone cases, grips, and anything that needs a bit of give.
The same plastic as Lego bricks. Tougher and more heat resistant than PLA, suited to functional parts that see some stress or warmth.
Similar toughness to ABS, but won't fade, yellow or go brittle in sunlight - the right call for anything that lives outside.
Strong, flexible and highly resistant to wear - ideal for gears, hinges, and parts that move a lot over time.
Nylon or PETG reinforced with chopped carbon fibre for extra stiffness and strength at a lighter weight - for demanding functional parts.
